Our BodyBags are the finest quality sand bags you'll find anywhere in the world. They were specifically designed for odd object lifting, by people who do odd object lifting. These sandbags are strategically reinforced, double-stitched and specially constructed from top-grade, heavy duty canvas. Double strength material has been added on the ends to provide a gripping surface, and an 18 inch industrial grade zipper, with canvas covering, along the top for quick filling.

Our BodyBag sandbags measure 26"Lx11"W (not including gripping tabs) and are rounded construction. The weight, when filled can vary, depending upon what filler material you use, and how full you fill them. We recommend filling them with "pea gravel," which when completely filled has the bag at around 100-115 lbs. If utilizing sand, the bag weight can be increased to about 130 pounds when full.

Why do we call our sand bags Body Bags? Two reasons, the first being that sand bags and other odd object lifting will blast your entire body in ways you couldn't even imagine, secondly, after your first couple of serious sand bag training sessions, you'll feel like you're ready for a body bag!

Training with sand bags forces your body to utilize all the core muscles and stabilizers simultaneously and in a coordinated fashion. Additionally, because sandbags are large, bulky, and unbalanced, many lifts must be done with a rounded back. Which, when performed properly, is one of the true keys to a strong back! Sandbag training is also a developer of a Herculean grip! 

Sandbag training is a great stand-alone endeavor, or perfect for active recovery days when your body needs some work, but you don't want to risk overtraining.

Utilizing Team drills with our Body Bags is a perfect fit for football, wrestling, and rugby teams to build teamwork, strength, conditioning, and camaraderie during inactive periods of practice, or as part of the overall program.

For individuals, we recommend getting two BodyBag sandbags to maximize your training.

Don't be fooled by other "sandbags" which are stuffed to the brim, stiff and unyielding. For full functional strength benefits, the contents of a sandbag should be loose and non-conforming. 

 

 

Our new Body Bag Jr may be more appropriate for some teens, smaller adult males and woman. It is also ideal for many of the plyometric and core strengthening exercises. Measuring 9"x20" it gives weights of approximately 50-80 lbs, when properly filled. Other than the smaller size, the Body Bag Jr is identical to our  regular Body Bags

Sandbags and sandbag training are highly effective weight training methods to achieve real functional strength. While you may find forty to fifty plus dollars a little high for a sandbag, the truth is you probably spend a lot more than that on idiot herbs, and powdered weight gainers in your quest for real muscle and functional strength. Those products will do NOTHING compared to BodyBag sandbags and sandbag training to build real muscle and functional strength!
